Hi, I had the same problem and I did the same as described above, Well I'll outline here again
1. Go to this link and download this driver http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/Other-DRIVERS-TOOLS/Others/A4tech-HD-200-HD-800-Headset-Driver-10.shtml
2. Extract it.
3. Go inside this folder and goto vista folder.
4. Chnage compatibility mode of setup.exe to vista service pack 2.
5. Install it and it will ask the system to restart.
6. After restart this might take some time, on my HP dv4t laptop it only took 1 to 2 mins after restart.
7. Go to system tray and enjoy :).

I am just repeating above mentioned steps but in bulleted form so thanks to them :)

I am glad I bought hu-510, that headphone also doesn't support win7 officially but the drivers actually work better on it then win xp itself.

I'm hoping that A4Tech comes out with some W7 drivers for all their products - I have mice & keyboards from them (their mice are the BEST!) but I can't even get the Setupx64.exe to launch under W7 64-bit, no matter what compatibility combination I try :(

Unfortunately, sales 7 support in the US is limited to one small company (though I know there is another company in Germany that may be of assistance). It's too bad that A4Tech seems to be dropping off - their products really are very good.

Well, while DSP mode won't save, you're able to trick the computer into thinking it is 7.1 surround sound by opening up the playback devices (from right-clicking the sound icon on your taskbar), clicking on the correct speakers (C-Media CM112 Sound Device), clicking on Configure, choosing the 7.1 surround option for audio channels, and click on next, setting the options as you like. With this setup, it's like if your headsets worked perfectly, spare the DSP mode setting in the software.

I fixed it without the hanging problem but still no virtual 7.1 speakers... Only the dolby works for now..

When Installing change the compatibility of the setup.exe to windows xp. It'll work fine even if you open up the program and close it up or unplug the headset. BTW I only tried it on v111 not the v112.
