That’s right, Rockstar released the official details and screenshots of the PC version of their highly anticipated GTA IV game. There are alot of new features being added to the PC version of Grand Theft Auto IV and it will be superior in many ways compared to its Xbox360 and PS3 versions.
Rockstar’s Steve Hahnel showed off the some teaser info like more details and screens at Leipzig Games Convention today. So here’s whats new GTA IV’s PC version:
Much improved visuals (more polished compared to the Xbox360, PS3 versions)
Increased number of multiplayer count, so you can easily play gang-war sort of multiplayer games in GTA IV (hopefully).
If you’ve got the rig, Rockstar’s got the games to use it to full potential. GTA IV’s PC port will be support a max resolution of 2560×600. That alot of detail.
You can control camera view in replays, and can upload your replays to Rockstar’s social club for others to watch.
Multiplayer games can be defined more explicitely now. E.g. you can limit your death matches to a certain weapon only (no sniper cheatin, eh?)
Xbox360’s controller is being supported. I like using the analog stick for controlling vehicles, much smoother that way.
Following are the relesed screenshots by Rockstar today GTA 4 will be released for PC on November 18th, by the way. Hit the Read More link for more screenshots.
Here’s a fresh trailer showing Miss Lara Croft in action in her upcoming game, Tombraider: Underworld. There are still around 2+ months left to Underworld’s release, but things are heating up now. Last week we saw the released photo session of Lara’s Model Alison Carroll, now this video. The gameplay looks solid in the vid but I wont be makin’ any assumptions as it’d be too early, we’ll see that when the game is released. Here’s the released trailer.
Ok guys, take this with a grain of salt or two. This hacker called StreetskaterFU over at PS3HAX has apprently found a way to load Blu-Ray games off the PS3’s hdd. PS3HAX has confirmed as the claim being legit and people are actually confirming this hack as been working.
Well it sounds too good to be true, but if its really workin’ then its great news ‘the scene’. Currently its stated that the hack works for older games only. Games claimed to be working with this hack are Warhawk, Gran Turismo 5, COD3, MotorStorm & RFOM and that both legal and illegal copies can be played (should be bad news for $ony). Check out the following video of this hack in action if you want want to believe.
This is the first guide in the series about modifiying (modding) GTA: San Andreas. We’ll be starting modding by adding new vehicles with cool designs to GTA: San Andreas. There’ll be more guides about modding GTA sereis games here on TechLighten. Today, we’ll cover about replacing the default San Andreas cars with new, cool ones. We’ll be taking San Andreas’ Police Car as our replacement example. The default police car looks pretty dull as you can see in the image. But San Andreas is gonna rock after we replace this dull police car with a shiny new Aston Martin DB9 (designed by a friend, Jack).

You’ll be needing IMG Tool 2.0 to replace the necessary car files in GTA: San Andreas. After downloading, extract the compressed file, and run IMGTool.exe contained within.
Well no doubt Crysis is a real power-hungry game and I can understand about people being worried if their rigs would be able to handle the almighty follow up in the series, that is Crysis: Warhead. Motherload is probably the most addictive and time-wasting flash game i’ve played so far.
You control a drilling tank on Mars, the goal is simple; keep drilling going deeper and deeper, filling your storage bay with precious minerals. Once your storage tank is full, get back to surface, sell your minerals, earn cash, refuel, then get back to drilling.
The game is addictive in the sense that in the beginning you are pretty much limited on all accessories. Your fuel-tank holds very little fuel so you have to get back to surface at short intervals, as you earn more you get to buy new upgrades and your drilling machine gets more faster and convenient, although the game’s difficulty also increases as you go more deeper.
You get rewards for finding treasures and artifacts. All in all Motherload is an awesome way to spend a boring afternoon on. I’d recommend to try this 2D game atleast once. Do comment about how addictive you think this game is.
With less than 3 months left to the release of Tombraider: Underworld, Eidos Interactive has brought a new Lara Croft Model into the spotlight, this time a 23 year old professional display-gymnast, Alison Caroll. She had to make her way up by beating out hundreds of other applicants, each of which was wishing to be the next Lara Croft Model.
The first few release pics look promising albeit a bit amateurishly done. See the mole on her left knee? Click on the thumbnails for close ups. The 3rd and 5th pics look specifically gross.
